To celebrate Castlevania’s 35th anniversary Konami is auctioning NFTs

Castlevania

For years, as gamers, we’ve hoped that video game companies celebrate the anniversaries of our favorite games from childhood. Most of them are turning now 25, 20, 35, or even 40 years old. (Check out our list of the most important game anniversaries of 2022.) We always hope to see a new game, new content, or the return of one of them to modern platforms. Castlevania is one of them, and Konami is celebrating the franchise’s 35th anniversary with an auction of NFTs.

There are 14 NFT images on the auction page by Konami. Some of them are scenes from the games, others are new art made for the occasion, and there’s also animation with music from the classic Famicom/NES era titles.

The auctions will take place from Jan. 12 at 14:00 PST to Jan. 14 at 18:00 PST. Fans from all over the world will be able to auction, so the starting prices will be revealed on that date.

Here’s a quick peak at how they look:

The classic Castlevania games are available in different collections and on different platforms, so that’s the best way to play them if you don’t have the original cartridges.

Was this the anniversary celebration that you were hoping for the franchise?
