Over the years we’ve seen hundreds of cases where retro consoles have been custom modified to play modern games or games from other systems. We now have a case of a Game Boy Advance that can play PlayStation one games, but this case is different from all of the other previous cases.
What makes this case special, is the fact that the GBA itself hasn’t been modified like the other cases, or at least it doesn’t have a modification to its processor or motherboard. The difference, in this case, is that it is the cartridge itself the one that has been modified to be able to play more powerful games.
The creator’s name is Rodrigo Alfonso, and on his YouTube channel you can find out how he made it, and how you could also make one yourself. This GBA cartridge not only plays PlayStation games, it can also play SNES and Mega Drive titles.
Here’s how it looks:
What do you think about it? Would you want to try it yourself?
