Due to the pandemic, the second Tank Girl movie is put on hold indefinitely. The plan remains to have Miles Joris-Peyrafitte on the director’s chair, starring Margot Robbie as the protagonist. Both worked on last year’s thriller drama Dreamland. On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the pair recently discussd the future of the film, with the actor saying “everything’s been put on hold”. They aren’t going to give up on the film though, so it isn’t by any means cancelled.
Tank Girl started as a comic back in 1988, written adn drawn by Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin. It is known for its punk visual art technique and psychedelic themes. It was later adapted into a first movie in 1995, directed by Rachel Talalay and starring Lori Petty as the eponymous character.
