Doom II is still one of the most popular entries in the FPS franchise that started it all. And after 30 years of its release, the game just received a new level designed by one of the co-creators of the series, John Romero.
The intention behind this new level is to raise funds to support the people of Ukraine and the humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund.
The level is titled One Humanity and is the first one that Romero has made since the game came out in 1994. This level can be purchased for the PC version only. Here are some screenshots:
The level is selling for £5, or around $6.67 USD approximately. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the cause mentioned before. You can buy it directly at John Romero’s official web page.
Once you purchase the level, you’ll download the files where a .WAD contains a readme text file as well as the external mod data. Players must have an original copy of Doom II and a modern source port to play it.
