Darth Vader re-imagined in steampunk style statue

Everybody knows Darth Vader is the most iconic villain turned (SPOILER ALERT!) good in all of human history. We all remember his strict but fair reign under the emperor in the original Star Wars trilogy, as well as his coming of age (eh, sort of) in the prequel trilogy. Now, Kotobukiya brings an unique twist on the Sith lord: a steampunk armoured Vader in an elegant and yet somewhat familiar pose.

Designed by Adi Granov, Anakin has no points of articulation, yet countless other details to make up for it. He stands 12.5″ tall on a brass-coloured base full of typical pipes, and screws. The suit itself has other elements akin to steampunk, including meters, rust, nailed leather and more brass.

The statue is out in September and will cost around $233. You can pre-order it here.
