The Creech, created by Capullo, was released in a three part series in 1997, followed by another three part series in 2001. Since then, the comic has been on a hiatus – until now.

Two decades after the last issue, Capullo has through a post on Instagram showed his writing progress. Acts I and II have an “inciting incident” and a “meeting”, respectively. The artist commented on it with the words:

I’ve been busy writing. The final chapter of The Creech is in the works. Finally!

Prior to The Creech, Capullo worked on X-Force and Quasar for Marvel, and while The Creech was on the shelf, he worked on Dark Nights: Metal and Batman for DC.
